Following the attempted assassination of several House Republicans I thought you might find this previous post relevant.
The left has a long history of violence, and that violence is escalating on a daily basis. The ‘open-minded’ are so enraged that not everyone thinks like they do that they are once again resorting to violence. Recently a writer for the ever anti-American Huffington Post spewed out an article (under the header of Queer Voices) entitled ‘To Save America We Must Stop Being Polite And Immediately Start Raising Hell’ in which he called for the escalation of “our outrage and our anger is a massive way.” He called for the harassment of conservatives everywhere including in their own homes while out of the other side of his mouth claiming that he is not calling for violence like the ‘thuggish behavior of the Trump supporters.’ Wink Wink Nudge Nudge
While I certainly support the right of all Americans to participate in peaceful protest, what we are seeing as of late is anything but peaceful. Burning police cars and smashing windows is NOT civil discourse. Let me ask you this, when have you seen conservatives throwing rocks and bottles at the police? When have you seen conservatives physically attack someone because they hold a different point of view? Reminder: it was Barack Obama who said “if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” For once I actually agree with Mr. Obama; bring a gun. I am in no way encouraging anyone to go looking for a fight, but I do strongly suggest that you be very aware of your surroundings and prepared to defend yourself and your family should the need arise. Although they don’t yet (stress yet) have the ability to reach the US with a nuclear weapon, there is some suspicions that their 2 satellites that frequently pass above the US are capable of launching an EMP. This rogue regime continues to develop their nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities with their primary target being the US and our allies.
The worlds largest exporter of terror is flush with cash thanks to the Obama administration’s ‘gift’ of $11.9 BILLION. Gee, what could go wrong?
We just witnessed the largest known cyberattack in history. This attack appears to have been motivated by greed, but what if this attack had targeted the US electrical grid? Attacks of this type are growing in size and frequency and its logical to think that an attack targeting the grid could at least temporarily put us all in the dark.
The terrorist group has taken a beating as of late, but their ability to inspire ‘lone wolf’ attacks in Western countries continues to be a threat.
The ‘anti-fascists’ groups that have been causing chaos recently are in reality anti-Capitalism/anti-Free Speech/Anarchists who throw a temper tantrum if anyone dare express an opinion they don’t share.. This group of mask wearing activist snowflakes periodically emerge from their mom’s basement to throw bottles at the police and attack innocent bystanders. Should you encounter a group of these ‘protesters’ your best protection is to pretend to be a job recruiter – they will undoubtedly maintain a safe distance.
If you fail to see the agenda driven bias of the lamestream media by now, I highly doubt you ever will. Regardless of whether you love/hate Trump, can you imagine the damage to the economy, stock markets and the value of the dollar should a corrupt media manage to actually take down a sitting President. The fact that they refuse to accept the results of the election does not give them the right to subvert the will of the people. Can you imagine the chaos in the next election cycle should they actually succeed?
The safety and security of your family is your responsibility. The police, fire, Red Cross, FEMA, etc., are all reactionary – they show up after the fact and are often too late to actually be of much help. If you are currently relying on some government agency to bail you out of an emergency situation – you might want to rethink your plan.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Bloomberg has announced that President Trump is scheduled to speak to the NRA’s 2017 Leadership Forum on April 28th. Love him or hate him, but Trump is clearly a departure from Washington’s ‘business as usual.’ If you support the 2nd Amendment, which was clearly designed to keep an overbearing government from disarming the public, then Trump is acting in your best interest (at least on this issue.)
In the November election, we clearly ‘dodged a bullet,’ as Hillary Clinton had repeatedly expressed her bias against guns, gun owners, and has long sought to demonize groups such as the NRA. Trump on the other hand embraced the NRA and it’s supporters and our right to defend ourselves, our families and our liberty. Trump has already reversed Obama’s Social Security gun ban, and Obama’s ban on using lead ammunition on Federal land. Oh, did I forget to mention the nomination and confirmation of a conservative Supreme Court Justice? Thank you sir, may I have another?
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
I know many of my fellow preppers have slowed or even stopped their prepping activities as a result of the November Election; bad idea. The direction of our Government is certain to change, but that doesn’t mean crime will drop, doesn’t mean a financial crisis has been avoided, nor does it mean that there won’t be natural disasters – there will be.
We have a nation as divided as it’s ever been.
We have a national media that has proven to be intentionally misleading.
We have 96 million not in the work force, many who plan to stay that way.
We have left wing hate groups bent on creating havoc in the streets.
We have a National Debt approaching $20 Trillion.
We have race relations at probably the lowest level since the 60’s.
We have a generation of snowflakes unable to face the realities of the world.
We have problems folks.
I too am hopeful for a better tomorrow, but I’m just not willing to bet my life or the lives of my family on it.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Our ‘friends’ in DC continue to help themselves, to your wallet that is. Over just the first 3 months of fiscal 2017 your Federal Government just saddled every American worker with an additional $1,370 worth of debt – and they wonder why we’re preppers. The Feds raked in the 3rd largest tax haul in history, yet apparently felt compelled to spend 22% more! Where does it stop? How deep a hole will they dig us into before something gives? As of January 3rd, 2017 the debt per American household stood at $158,442, but wait there’s more! If you take into account the projected shortfalls in Medicare, Social Security, Federal Pensions, other Government liabilities and unfunded obligations then, deep breath, each and every person drawing breath in the US owes a staggering $237,284! And they didn’t even buy you dinner first!
OK, so I know some folks are pumped up over the coming change of power in Washington, and I do hope someone, anyone, can pull us out of this death spiral of debt; I’m just not willing to bet my life on it.
I’m hearing a lot of rumblings that the election of Donald Trump has sent the preparedness industry into a tail spin as well as having a devastating effect on gun sales. I can certainly understand why many who fear for the future might feel we’ve just stepped back from the edge a bit, but I wouldn’t slow those preps just yet!
Yes, many of us feel that the Election of President Trump may slow our economic demise as well as deal with some other obvious social and foreign policy issues that have plagued us for nearly a decade; however…he’s just one man. Let me remind you of the economic situation we face as we quickly approach a national debt of $20 Trillion not to mention Trillions more in unfunded mandates. Think about this for a moment, if Trump could manage to not only balance the books, but build say a $50 Billion a year budget surplus it would still take us over 429 years to pay off the national debt. Read that again, 429 years. One 4 year term, or even 8 years can not ‘fix’ the problem. I certainly hope for all our sakes that he can indeed turn the ship back in the right direction, but we aren’t out of the woods yet.
If you have slowed your preps, may I suggest reading a past article on some of the reasons preppers are preppers; What type of event or events are you preparing for?
As I’ve said in the past, my wife and I are lifestyle preppers and as such we continue to prepare for any and all possible disruptions of ‘normal life’ regardless of who resides in the White House.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Happy prepping!
Reality Check: the Feds raked in record taxes of $221,690,000,000 in October, and still ran $44,192,000,000 deficit!
Bloated, reckless, short-sighted; call it what you will, but our Federal Govt. is out of control. Your elected officials banked the equivalent of $1,459 for every American working full or part-time, but spent $1,750. How long do you think you could continue to spend that way before you hit bankruptcy? With the current National Debt standing at over $18.2 Trillion can we really continue on with the reckless policies that have gotten us here? If you really break it down, every single person in the Country (legally that is) owes $61,100.30. Yes, $61,100.30 for every person, from grandma to your newborn, you are in debt from your first breath to your last. Gee, where do I send my check!
Much like the spoiled little brats burning our cities because they didn’t get more free stuff, your elected officials want stuff (and promise you stuff) they simply can’t pay for so they just borrow more! They borrow from Social Security, they borrow from the Fed, they borrow from Foreign countries (in the form of bonds,) they borrow against your future – they spend, spend, spend, and leave you holding the bag. People worry about Social Security, and they should. People worry about the job market, and they should. People worry about the economy, and they definitely should. If the Federal Government was a business they would have closed their doors long ago, period. How long will we continue to allow these ‘public servants’ to bury us in endless debt? If you ever needed something to worry about – here it is. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
